What is SADLAN?

SADLAN is a annual LAN party for the friends of Moeman and OSIC. It began as a substitute to Schoolies at the end of year 12. However, the first SADLAN did not occur until nearly a year after they finished school.

Ever since then SADLAN has been getting bigger and better with each itteration. originally a LAN party for school friends, the first couple of events happened with minimal planning and arrangements (by SADLAN standards at least). SADLAN 3 saw the first interstate guests arrive and with this came the need for proper planning and of course, merchandising.

SADLAN 4 has shown us that 12 people is around capacity for the garage and so this year we look for ways to innervate instead of expand, linking synergies and paradigms to create a fulfilling and memorable experience.

Why is it going to be in OSIC's garage in the middle of summer again?

OSIC's garage is the largest garage we can find. Alternatives such as a Rotary Hall are not viable as there is no internet access.

SADLAN is in the middle of summer for 2 reasons. Its when everyone is most available, with no Uni and most people being able to get off work and secondly its 12 months after the last one.

What games will be played

A good LAN party game is not necessarily a good internet game and vice versa. Often older RTS's and FPS's make great LAN party games.
